Major Leadership Accomplishments Since July 2007 Appointment   Balanced County Budget for 2008 without increasing taxes or borrowing from reserves (first time since 2001). Appointed by Puget Sound Partnership Leadership Council to represent Kitsap County on Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordination Board. Improved Department of Community Development by increasing performance and customer satisfaction outcomes. Proposed evening (versus daytime) meetings for Board of County Commissioners to encourage greater public participation. Helped acquire Hansville Greenway & Wildlife Corridor and participated in several park and open space projects throughout the District.
