I am honored to have the opportunity to run for election as your County Commissioner for a full four-year term. Since my appointment in July 2007, I have met scores of people who are working to make Kitsap County a better place to live, and I know there are many whom I still haven’t met, but will, in the coming months.

As this election year heats up, I hope you will be able to participate at some level in my campaign — either by attending a community forum, volunteering for a special event, or by visiting this website often.

Bauer Receives Endorsement from Washington Conservation Voters

Hansville –Washington Conservation Voters honored Steve Bauer with their endorsement this week. The endorsement was recommended to the State Board of Directors by Kitsap Conservation Voters and Bainbridge Conservation Voters. Both groups are the local chapters in Kitsap County.

I am honored and pleased to receive this endorsement, and will continue do my best to support responsible environmental policies in Kitsap County and throughout the State.” As a member of the Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordination Board, representing Kitsap County, I am fully committed to making sure we are developing smart environmental policy and fiscally sound decisions when it comes to the Puget Sound.” Bauer said.

Bauer has often stated that the environment in Kitsap County is a top quality-of- life issue that cannot be ignored because it is one of the “engines” that drives econonomic development to the West Sound.
